Last month, The Muppets was nominated for an Art Directors Guild Award in the category of Half Hour Single-Camera Television Series.  And as if there was any question as to whether or not they deserved to win, we’re pleased to announce that the show is taking away an ADG Award!

For a look at the show’s production design submission (which includes looks at Rowlf’s bar, Kermit’s swamp backyard, and a lot of behind-the-scenes photos), as well as a special message from Pepe, click here.

The team from The Muppets recognized for this award include Production Designer Denise Pizzini, Set Director Don Diers, Graphic Designer Geoffrey Mandel, Asst. Art Director Claudie Roque, Set Designer Kenneth Larson, and Graphic Designer Marissa Zajack.

The Muppets was up against The Last Man on Earth, Transparent, and Veep, and speaking as someone who actually watches all four of the nominated shows, The Muppets was a shoo-in from the start.

Finally, we have this short video to share, shot by The Muppets set dresser Maike Both, of the team accepting their award and reminding everyone within shouting distance to keep watching The Muppets.

Congratulations to the winners, and here’s hoping you get another chance to win next season!
