Big Bird stayed up past his bedtime to make an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Friday night. Nope, he wasn’t there to sit in the guest chair and discuss the HBO deal — he was there to take part in an extremely silly trivia game segment which found Jimmy Fallon competing with Kevin Spacey. As a voice-chasing Muppet fan, you probably noticed that when Big Bird speaks, it sounds like Matt Vogel. Which might make you wonder how Matt Vogel could be on the Muppet panel at D23 on the west coast and the NYC-based Tonight Show on the same day. Well, word on the street is that Big Bird was puppeteered for this appearance by Noel MacNeal. I don’t know who puppeteered Keegan Michael Key.
