New Muppet Book Looks Grimm

After last year’s surprise Muppet parody of “The Phantom of the Opera“, we were expecting more classic stories to be adapted with the Muppets’ signature chaos.  And hey, here it is!

The second book in the “Muppets Meet the Classics” series will be Fairy Tales from The Brothers Grimm, adapted by Erik Forrest Jackson (who also wrote the Phantom book).  The official synopsis (via Amazon) is as follows:

Some fairy tales are too silly. Others are too serious. But when the Muppets meet the classics? The stories are just right! Join Kermit, Miss Piggy, and the other Muppets as they bring favorite fairy tales to life in their own hilarious way.

For more of a taste, Disney has provided a sample chapter for us to read.  Check out “Kermit the Frog-Prince” right here.

Sounds like fun!  If nothing else, I’m sure it will be better than Muppet Classic Theater.

The book will be available to purchase on October 9th, 2018.
