We are saddened to learn that voice actress Christine Cavanaugh passed away earlier this week at the age of 51.

Cavanaugh had an extremely impressive resume, including such iconic and popular roles as Gosalyn on Darkwing Duck, Oblina on Aaahh!!! Real Monsters, Marty Sherman on The Critic, and Chuckie Finster on Rugrats.  She can also be heard on series like Sonic the Hedghehog, The Powerpuff Girls, Hercules: The Animated Series, and as Birdie in commercials for McDonald’s.

We remember her best for her role as Babe in the movie of the same name, which contained special visual effects by The Jim Henson Creature Shop.  It’s also a brilliant film, and one worth watching (or re-watching) as soon as possible.

Here’s just one scene featuring Christine Cavanaugh’s performance in Babe, many more of which can be found on YouTube.
