Earlier this year, Insight Editions published a giant coffee table book all about the making-of, artwork, and behind-the-scenes of Labyrinth (ToughPigs review coming soon!), and it is beyond impressive. Next year, “Labyrinth: The Ultimate Visual History” is getting a baby brother.
Coming in September, 2017, “The Dark Crystal: The Ultimate Visual History” will be hitting shelves. Just like the Labyrinth book, you’ll get rare photos, interviews, commentary, stories, sketches, artwork, and so so so much more.
Of all the movies in existence, The Dark Crystal is one that really needs to be devoured in this way. It’s a stunningly beautiful film, and I can’t wait to learn more about every detail.
The book is now available for pre-order on Amazon for about $40, and it will ship on September 19th, 2017, which also happens to be five days before Jim Henson’s 81st birthday.
