15! 15 Daytime Emmy Noms for Sesame Street! Ah Ah Ah!

Sesame Street is no stranger to Daytime Emmy Award nominations.  But that doesn’t mean we’re not going to make a big deal out of their fifteen Emmy nods!

Yes, Sesame Street has once again taken the lead with the most Daytime Emmy noms above all other children’s shows (coming in 4th place overall behind three soap operas).  They’re up for three outstanding performers, two outstanding songs, and one outstanding series, plus a bunch more!

Check out their categories here, and then we’ll find out how many little statuettes they’re taking home on June 22nd!

  • Outstanding Pre-School Children’s Series – Sesame Street
  • Outstanding New Approaches – Enhancement to a Daytime Program or Series – Sesame Street
  • Outstanding New Approaches – Enhancement to a Daytime Program or Series – Sesame Street: Little Children, Big Challenges: Incarceration
  • Outstanding Performer in a Children’s Series – Leslie Carrara-Rudolph (as Sigrid, Carrie, Flantine, Velvet and Old Lady)
  • Outstanding Performer in a Children’s Series – Joseph Mazzarino (as Stinky, Murray and Davy Jones)
  • Outstanding Performer in a Children’s Series – David Rudman (as Baby Bear and Cookie Monster)
  • Outstanding Writing in a Children’s Series – Sesame Street
  • Outstanding Directing in a Children’s Series – Sesame Street
  • Outstanding Achievement in Lighting Direction – Sesame Street
  • Outstanding Achievement in Multiple Camera Editing – Sesame Street
  • Outstanding Achievement in Sound Mixing – Live Action – Sesame Street
  • Outstanding Achievement in Sound Editing – Live Action – Sesame Street
  • Outstanding Original Song – “ABC’s of Moving”
  • Outstanding Original Song – “Rhymes with Mando”
  • Outstanding Achievement in Costume Design/Styling – Sesame Street

And rounding out the Henson-related productions with Emmy nods is Dinosaur Train, which was nominated for Outstanding Writing in a Preschool Animated Program and The Electric Company for Outstanding New Approaches.
