Fraggle Rock Returns to Comics in May

Hey, couldn’t you go for a new Fraggle Rock comic book series right about now? I sure could. And because it’s the 35th anniversary of the show, a new Fraggle comic is on its way to us courtesy of BOOM! Studios and Archaia!

The new series, apparently titled simply Fraggle Rock (with no fancy subtitle), will run four issues starting in May. Each issue will be a stand-alone story by a different creative team, and it will be presented in an 8″ x 8″ format, so start measuring your bookshelf. The first issue, written and illustrated by Jared Cullum with a subscription cover by Jake Myler, is a Mokey spotlight. The synopsis: “Mokey Fraggle is losing her love for creating her art and needs her friends’ help to rediscover her inspiration.” I sure hope everything turns out okay for ol’ Mokey!

Also: Those special “subscription covers” will form one big connecting image, so if you want to see the whole thing, you’ll have to get all four. I can’t wait until issue #2 comes out so we can find out whose yellow hair that is on the right-most edge of the cover below!

Fraggle Rock #1 will be available at local comic book shops (use comicshoplocator.com to find one in your neighborhood), or digitally from comiXology, iBooks, Google Play, and the BOOM! Studios app.
