Hey, you know that movie The Muppets that came out a year ago? The soundtrack has been nominated for two Grammy awards!
The song “Man or Muppet” has already won an Oscar, and now it’s up for a Grammy in the “Best Song Written For Visual Media” category. Sadly, a song written for a movie can ever become an EGOT, but it has a good chance of becoming a GO. (Although I still find it odd that this the tune that gets nominated for awards over “Life’s a Happy Song.”)
Meanwhile the soundtrack for the film was nominated in the “Best Compilation Soundtrack For Visual Media” category, no doubt due to the decision to include “We Built This City.” You can click here to take a look at the competition on the official Grammy website.
