RIP Sesame Writer Judy Freudberg

Sesame Street writer Judy Freudberg has passed away.  You may or may not recognize her name, but you will most certainly know the bulk of her work.

Among her writing credits:

  • Sesame Street, since 1975
  • Co-creator and former head writer for “Elmo’s World”
  • Specials like Sesame Street 20 and Counting and Big Bird’s Birthday or Let Me Eat Cake
  • DVDs such as Elmo Visits the Firehouse and Three Bears and a New Baby
  • Songs like “Gimme Five” and “If Elmo Had a Dinosaur”
  • Books like “Molly Moves to Sesame Street”, “Susan and Gordon Adopt a Baby”, and “The Many Faces of Ernie
  • And, most notably, Follow That Bird (with Tony Geiss)
