We at ToughPigs are saddened to hear about the passing of the legendary Kenny Baker.  Best known for cramming himself in the Star Wars droid R2-D2, you would have also seen him in movies such as Time Bandits, The Elephant Man, and Amadeus.

R2-D2 made several appearances with the Muppets, including episodes of The Muppet Show and Sesame Street, although Baker was not involved with those productions.  (Amusingly, R2-D2 is credit as “himself” on The Muppet Show).

But Kenny Baker still has a strong Muppet connection: He performed as a member of the Goblin corps in Labyrinth!  It’s unknown to us as to which Goblin he performed, but it’s nice to know that he worked personally with Jim Henson at least once in his colorful career.

Kenny Baker was always a great sport, an enviable talent, and a proud member of several sci-fi and fantasy franchises.  He’ll be sorely missed.
