You may not recognize the name, but you know the songs. Lee Pockriss, who wrote such immortal songs as “Itsy Bitsy Teeny Weeny Yellow Polka Dot Bikini” and “Catch a Falling Star” has passed away this week at the age of 87.
In addition to the two songs above (which were performed by Miss Piggy and Wayne, respectively), Pockriss wrote several songs for Sesame Street (all of which you can read about here), including the ones seen below.
