Bob Kushell, Executive Producer of the pilot presentation for the new Muppet show, Instagrammed a photo of the new title card and (presumably) logo for the series.

Are you ready?  You may want to sit down for this.

Yep.  That’s it.

Our ToughPigs scientists have put the image through our patented transmogrifier and come up with this, which is approximately how the logo will look on your television screen:

Lowercase.  Typewriter font.  Unnecessary punctuation.  I don’t want to say it’s bland, but… it’s kinda bland.

Then again, bland could be exactly what they’re going for.  Maybe the series will take place mostly in an office environment, emphasizing the mundaneness of creating a show to help make the ridiculous stuff pop more.

Or they could just be turning the Muppets into another ripoff of The Office.

And this is also confirmation of the show’s title: The Muppets.  Which is not only the most generic title a Muppet production could have, but it was also used for their own hit feature film.  Seriously, that’s confusing.

Hopefully this title will only be used for the pilot presentation, and then a new name will be chosen if/when it goes to series.  Also hopefully, this will be the only thing we’ll have to complain about, because from what we’re hearing, the show is going to be excellent.
