tms-florence-henderson-happy-togetherWe are saddened to learn that Florence Henderson, best known as Carol Brady on The Brady Bunch, has passed away.

The talented actress and singer has crossed paths with the Muppets several times.  Most notably, she appeared in her own episode of The Muppet Show in its first season, in which she sang “Happy Together” and “The Elusive Butterfly”.

But that wasn’t the first time Ms. Henderson worked with the Muppets.  On July 20, 1966, she and the Muppets appeared on the same episode of The Mike Douglas Show.  She sang “Never Never Land” with Rowlf the Dog and “My Funny Valentine” with Kermit the Frog.  Unfortunately, we don’t have any video of these (yet), so enjoy whatever is currently running through your imagination.

Coincidentally, we just reviewed Florence Henderson’s episode of The Muppet Show here on ToughPigs just a few weeks ago.  Click here to read it, and be sure to revisit the episode to get a half hour of fantastic performances and Muppet fun.

As you can see from just her work with the Muppets, Florence Henderson was quite a talent, an incredibly warm person, and she will be sorely missed by the entertainment community.
