True Tales of Muppet Fandom Contest
Have you ever stolen a Muppet toy...
from your two-year-old niece?
Didn't
end well, did it? Well, here's your chance to finally get rewarded for your most
desperate act of Muppet fandom.
Here at Tough Pigs HQ, we want to know the true-life stories of the goofy, reckless, obsessive things that Muppet fans do in the name of love.
Did you beg the Denny's manager to give you the Muppet posters?
Did you get caught shoplifting Great Muppet Caper notebooks?
What did your boyfriend say when you broke the news that you're a Muppet fan?
Entering the contest is as easy as spending all your birthday money on Miss Piggy sheets. Just write down your most heartwarming story of Muppet Fandom Gone Horribly Awry and send it to Danny@ToughPigs.com. Stories should be somewhere around 100-200 words.
Feel free to send as many stories as you want -- I mean, if you weren't obsessive, you wouldn't be entering at all, right?
Entries will be judged in the following categories:
Cutest Story
The Most Work for the Least Gain
and Bravest Display of Muppet-Fan Pride
The top three stories, as judged by a blue-ribbon panel of Tough Pigs fankids, will win these fabulous prizes:
1st Prize:
The Best of the Muppet Show videos, Volumes 1 and 2
(including Elton John and Star Wars)
2nd Prize:
Kermit's Swamp Years video
3rd Prize:
Muppet Show 25th Anniversary mini-lunchbox
Send
photos or visual aids if you've got 'em... you don't have to, but you'll
definitely get bonus points for them. Also, as an added bonus -- if you
send me a photo of yourself or your children in public in a Muppet costume, you
are guaranteed to win something for it. If not one of the three main prizes,
then I'll come up with some other cool Muppet thing to send you, but Muppet
costume pics will definitely be rewarded.
I'll be accepting entries until September 1st, so send in your story today! Winners will be announced -- and horrifying secrets revealed -- in the first week of September.
