Whitmire auction stuff

It’s time once again for Steve Whitmire to auction off a bunch of stuff from his private Muppet collection to benefit the Jim Henson wing at the Center for Puppetry Arts in Atlanta.  (Click here to hear our interview with Steve about this great cause!)  And once again, the items up for auction have me wishing I had infinite amounts of money and storage space.

There are all kinds of old Muppet, Sesame Street, Fraggle Rock, Muppet Babies, and Dinosaurs products autographed by Steve.  And as with the previous auction batches, there are some really enticing rare items.  There’s an actual catsuit worn by either Marla, Darla, or Carla in The Great Muppet Caper. There’s an actual prop sign from Kermit’s Swamp Years that comes with a letter written to Steve by writer Jim Lewis.  And there’s a Jim Henson Hour lunch box that also comes with an Andy & Randy t-shirt, “made exclusively for Steve Whitmire and Dave Goelz (1 of 2 in existence)” and a Waldo watch!

Click here to view the auctions, open up your wallet, and start bidding!  Bidding ends at 3:00 PM on Friday, May 22.
