Muppet Vault: The Bird, The Grouch, The Legend!

Forty-three years ago, Big Bird and Oscar the Grouch entered our homes to teach us about letters, numbers, and the love of trash.  Today, Caroll Spinney is still performing both characters and teaching the same lessons to a new generation of kids.  Join us for an afternoon of classic Sesame Street fun with The Muppet Vault: The Bird, the Grouch, the Legend!

This special Muppet Vault will feature special guests Copper Pot Pictures, the filmmakers behind the upcoming Caroll Spinney documentary, I Am Big Bird!  The documentary will feature never-before-seen footage of Caroll on Sesame Street, Caroll working with Jim Henson, behind-the-scenes videos, and more.  The Muppet Vault will be spotlighting some of these videos, which aren’t available for viewing anywhere else!

Fans of all ages are invited to our newest venue Nitehawk Cinema (136 Metropolitan Ave. in Williamsburg, Brooklyn) on Saturday, July 21st at 12:00 PM, for “The Muppet Vault: The Bird, the Grouch, the Legend!”  Families, hipsters, and overgrown canaries are welcome!

The event will include screenings of old school Sesame Street clips and Big Bird appearances on The Muppet Show and live talk shows, as well as some rarely-seen videos from Caroll’s personal collection.  As always, there will be audience participation, with sing-alongs, cool giveaways, drink specials and more!  Nitehawk Cinema also has amazing brunch offers, so plan on enjoying a delicious meal during the show!
