For the past 15 years, we at ToughPigs Dot Com have been tirelessly covering the tedium of the Muppets, never-ending Sesame Street, and the boring ol’ Jim Henson Company. And after a decade-and-a-half, we were almost ready to hang it all up for good when we realized: We just need to write about what we really love. And that love has taken form in the epitome of Muppet productions: Up Late with Miss Piggy.
Our favorite talk show features all that you could ask in entertainment: A lady pig host, an awful comedian sidekick, a burnt-out band, and an endless stream of self-promoting celebrity guests. What else could anyone want to watch in the wee hours of the night?
Therefore, we are pleased to announce that ToughPigs is now Up Late with ToughPigs, focusing on Miss Piggy’s titular late night show, currently on our television screens every evening, never to be canceled or “on the bubble” or at risk of disappearing from the schedule during the off-season. I am comforted by this idea.
