After Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem’s wildly successful live show at Outside Lands in San Francisco, it’s no surprise that Disney isn’t wasting any time in their next venture into the world of live, in-person Muppet performances!
To make it even more special, this show will take place in the Henson Workshop! Yes, in the same building where all the puppets are built and stored!
The Muppet band will perform on the puppet builders’ work tables, or possibly inside filing cabinet drawers. From what we’ve learned, they won’t be singing any songs, or telling any jokes, or moving around at all. In a rare, gutsy move by Disney, they won’t even have their regular Muppet performers in attendance.
Tickets will be hard to come by, as they will not be available. If you want to see this exclusive show, you’ll need to sneak onto the Henson lot. We’ll be donning fake mustaches and posing as janitors. Please come up with your own idea, as this one is our ticket to Muppet fun.
Special guests will include Henson Company employees, puppet builders, and the Henson security guards that will likely be giving us the bum’s rush during the encore.
