Folks, this might be hard to believe, but it was only a little over a year ago that we Muppet fans were getting weekly episodes of ABC’s The Muppets. The Muppets! In a production! On our televisions! Can you believe it? Do you remember?
Honestly, you might not remember The Muppets. Now that we live in this wasteland of Muppet news, I wouldn’t be surprised if your mind has wandered and you’d started to confuse them with Topo Gigio or something. Can anyone truly remember the Muppets? What did they do on that show? Plus, what did the Muppets even look like? It’s been so long since we’ve seen them.
Well, I sure remember what the Muppets looked like and did. I definitely remember this.
So…um…
First of all, I remember that Kermit had a new girlfriend. She had a name and it was…um…come back to that one. America hated her. I am confident that Kermit and his girlfriend looked like this:
The Muppets were working on a TV show called Awake at Night Time With Miss Piggy. It was hosted by Miss Piggy and the Muppet who is a bear who tells jokes. You remember that guy? He had a man who lived in his finger. They were always looking like this:
These three wise guys wrote for the show. They also went on a couple of dates with other characters. Look, I’m pretty sure there was a rat and a shrimp and some kind of bird, but I might have just dreamed this. This is how I see it:
We at ToughPigs had some favorite characters. Of course, there was our old pal Scooter, who was always talking about organizing things and also his stepdad. And this blue crocodile who liked clothes and another rat. I definitely remember that.
Animal was on this show too. We like him.
