Disneyland is celebrating its 70th anniversary, which just so happens to coincide with the Muppets’ 70th anniversary. Sounds like a prime opportunity for some crossover!
According to WDWNT.com, Disneyland has announced some of their 70th celebrations, and the Muppets are a part of it.
Disney California Adventure Park will debut a new outdoor “World of Color” show, spotlighting characters of all colors of the rainbow. The show will feature music and projections and smoke machines and lasers and pixie dust. Oh, and the Muppets. According to the report, the show will begin with a special pre-show from Joe the Legal Weasel and more than a dozen Muppets.
Also in the show, R&B legends Boyz II Men will perform their rendition of “Rainbow Connection.” Presumably, it will look like this.
The World of Color show will begin on March 16, and run through summer, 2026.
