Last month, we at ToughPigs (along with The MuppetCast) tried our hands at a little event planning. We worked with a local venue, screened some rare Muppet videos, and showed 75 lucky Muppet fans a great time for less than the price of a Venti double whip half-caff soy mocha latte.
In case you missed it, you’ll have more chances to join us for new screenings of Muppet rarities, because we’ll be putting on a new version of The Muppet Vault every month! I’m gonna repeat that for the hard of hearing: The Muppet Vault will be a monthly event! Who could ask for anything more? (Besides earplugs.)
For our first (okay, second) show, we’ll be showing a collection of Muppet fairy tales, including “The Frog Prince,” “Hey Cinderella!,” and a few surprising surprises! And as always, there will be trivia, prizes, games, drink specials, and possibly an appearance by a fake-Muppet celebrity! The show is only $5, so bring your kids, bring your neighbor’s kids, bring your sketchy hipster neighbor, bring his dog (no dogs allowed).
The Muppet Vault: Fairy Tales will be held on Sunday, September 12 at 2:00pm at The Knitting Factory, located at 361 Metropolitan Ave. in Williamsburg, Brooklyn (easily accessible from the L and G trains).
