The FIFA World Cup is one of the biggest sporting events on the planet. Teams representing 48 countries will compete in the ultimate men’s soccer tournament across the United States, Canada, and Mexico. And yet somehow, they’ve found a way to make it even bigger by bringing The Muppets and Sesame Street together for one night.

It was announced early this morning that the two creative worlds would be part of the World Cup Final Halftime Show taking place on Sunday, July 19 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. Kermit, Elmo, Miss Piggy, Cookie Monster, Animal, and more will be sharing the stage with such music icons as Madonna, Shakira, and BTS, all to raise support for the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund.

The event is curated by Coldplay’s Chris Martin, who helped to make the announcement.

And naturally, Statler and Waldorf were there to heckle the news as well. The full video is below.
The FIFA World Cup Final will be broadcast in the United States on FOX in English, and on Telemundo in Spanish. For fans in other countries, you can check who will be airing the World Cup here.
