Where to Find Other Muppet Fans on the Internet

Did you know there are other Muppet fans on the internet?

I know we usually save the plugs for at the end of the article, but I want to start this by shouting out the ToughPigs Discord. It’s truly become a great community, and in one of our many conversations on the Discord is a thread entitled “Classic ToughPigs articles,”  where every once in a while somebody will bring up a long forgotten treasure from the ToughPigs archives.

A little while ago a very active member of the community named Zee brought up a 2012 Ryan Roe article entitled “Did You Know There Are Other Places to Read Stuff About Muppets on the Internet?” The article is a fascinating time capsule of what Muppet fandom looked like in 2012 shouting out many institutions of the time. But being that the article is 13 years old, it’s pretty outdated. Sadly most of what was highlighted is no longer around. What’s interesting is how Muppet fandom has shifted over these 13 years.  Back in 2012, It was mainly about blogs and websites, whereas now Muppet fandom is much more focused on social media, or making things like fan art and podcasts.

And so I thought, somebody make an updated version of this article, and dear reader, that’s what I’m doing now! But I don’t want this article to be merely a fandom time capsule! I will be periodically updating this space, regularly adding any new fun stuff I find along the way!

Websites

Chris Stulz’s Muppet Stuff:  A great blog with a focus on Muppet merchandise.

The DJ Bob Show: Another not-actually-a-Muppet-podcast show, DJ Bob has played host to a ton of interviewees from nostalgic all-ages entertainment, including a constant stream of Muppet-related guests.
