They’ve been karate-chopped, left out in the cold, tossed out of Sardi’s, and lit on fire, but you can’t keep a good Muppet down. And as a special holiday gift for Muppet fans, Rizzo the Rat and Bean Bunny are back! Bradley Freeman, Jr. has confirmed that he will be the new performer for both characters.
Bean resurfaced in a video with Miss Piggy for Disney Vacation Club, detailing a small inconvenience on his last Disney cruise. Bean was last seen in a 2009 Disney Xtreme Digital video for Groundhog Day.
A short time, a new video dropped with holiday greetings from Rizzo and Miss Piggy. (Two Miss Piggy videos? It’s almost like she’s some sort of Muppet of the week or something.) While Rizzo’s had a few silent appearances on camera since Steve Whitmire’s departure, this is his first speaking role since the 2015-16 series The Muppets. (Unless you count Baby Rizzo showing up in the Muppet Babies revival.)
