Hey, Jason! Your bowtie is untied!

CinemaBlend and various other websites are reporting that Jason Segel will be hosting Saturday Night Live on November 19th.  Normally a celebrity hosts SNL when they have something to promote, so let’s see… What could Jason Segel be promoting?  Oh, of course!  He’s on How I Met Your Mother.  That must be it.

But seriously, folks… November 19th is just four days before The Muppets opens, so it’s an ideal date for Segel to remind people that his puppet movie thing is on the way.  And I would be extremely surprised if there weren’t some Muppets on the show as well… maybe interrupting Segel’s monologue?  So watch the show, and keep your eyes open!

Of course, the Muppets have a history with SNL, from the Land of Gorch sketches in the first season to Kermit singing with Robert DeNiro in 2004, so they should feel right at home.  In fact, if it weren’t for the logistical challenges, I bet the SNL people would have just as soon had Kermit or Piggy host the show.  Maybe next time.
