Man, I’m so tired of “Mario” this and “Donkey Kong” that. I want a video game with Elmo’s puppy Tango in it! Is there anything to satiate my desires?? Anything??!?! Wait. What’s that? I’ve got my wish?! Why, It’s not even my half-birthday!
Sesame Street: Friends & Fun is an upcoming video game set for release on October 9, 2026 on basically all the big gaming systems (except Atari 2600, sad to report). You play a brand-new neighbor on Sesame Street (with our own customizable Muppet avatar), and you get to explore the neighborhood while playing various mini-games and such. Plus, you get to meet Tango! Can’t forget her!
Unlike the similarly-themed Roblox game that came out last fall, Sesame Street itself is more than just the one block – it’s expanded into a huge community space, with multiple apartment houses, a farm, and the Count’s castle. It’s kind of like Around the Corner, only there’s no sign of Celina or the Furry Arms Hotel. Oh well, can’t have everything.
