Kermit and Sesame in Macy’s Parade 2010

We’re just a few short weeks away from Thanksgiving! And more importantly, we’re precious days away from Macy’s annual Thanksgiving Day parade! As you probably know, the Muppets have had a long history with the parade with balloons made of Kermit the Frog, Big Bird, Super Grover, and Abby Cadabby, as well as floats starring the Muppets, the Sesame Street gang, and even the Fraggles.

It should come as no surprise that Sesame Street will have yet another float in this year’s parade, featuring the cast (both human and Muppet) on the stoop of 123 Sesame Street. The Kermit the Frog balloon will also be in attendance, lamenting about how difficult it is being green from high above the streets of Manhattan. There’s no word if the real Kermit will show up again to sing his hit single, “I Believe“, but the schedule is still subject to change!

The 84th Annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade will air on NBC from 9am to noon EST on November 25. Watch it, and then turn off the TV and spend some quality time with your family. They want to hear all about your new ladyfriend!Macyskermitballoon
