Muppet Music Merch Message

merchyEarlier this week, Disney launched MuppetsMusic.com, a landing page to promote all things Muppet music-related. Or, to be more precise, three things Muppet music-related. But they are things of much importance!

Firstly, Muppet cover album, “The Green Album” is now available for pre-order. The CD and digital download can be in your possession as early as August 23.

Secondly, there’s an exclusive Green Album poster with a nifty image of Kermit, Piggy, Fozzie, and Animal staring forward in the most musical of ways.

Tertiarily, the soundtrack to The Muppets will be released on November 22, a full day before the movie comes to theaters. So if you’re the impatient type, you can spoil all those musical surprises 24 hours before hearing them on the big screen. Or, next to the big screen, I guess.

Quadrilatically, Threadless announced the winner of their Muppet t-shirt design contest. While the popular vote went to Jamie “Al Gore” Carroll’s “Muppetational Mosaic” design, the t-shirt that will actually be produced is the “Together Again” design. And while the winner isn’t by any means a bad design, it’s still a shame that Jamie’s exceptional work didn’t take home the gold. However, there is still a chance that you’ll be able to buy and wear “Mupptational Mosaic”, as Threadless may be selling more than one shirt from the contest. We’ll be sure to let you know if and when that happens! UPDATE: It happened! Muppetational Mosaic WILL be available to purchase via Threadless!

You can buy the shirt, Green Album, and poster over at MuppetsMusic.com, and the shirt and album will be available by themselves shortly. And then Disney will probably find more ways to get you to give them your money!Screen shot 2011-07-15 at 2.17.47 PM
