New Muppet/Star Wars Toys

If there’s one thing the Muppets love to do (beside eating things that should never be eaten in real life), it’s parodying Star Wars. And thanks to Disney’s continued partnership with LucasArts, more Muppet/Star Wars stuff is coming our way.

The latest merch are the first articulated Muppet action figures since the Palisades Toys line, featuring the Muppets dressed up as their Star Wars counterparts. The plans were revealed at the Star Wars Celebration earlier this week.

We’ve already seen the PVC figures and a set of Muppet pins featuring Kermit/Luke, Piggy/Leia, Gonzo/Vader, Fozzie/Chewbacca, and Beaker/C-3P0, and now they’re adding Link/Han Solo, Sam/Obi Wan, Camilla/Stormtrooper, and Bunsen/R2-D2 to the mix. (Though Rizzo/Yoda and Animal/Tusken Raider are both missing… could there be another set coming??) Seems like all of these guys would fit right in at the Mos Eisley Cantina.

There’s no word on when these toys will be available yet, but the rumor is that they’ll only be sold at Disney theme parks. And, of course, eBay. Check out the designs right here:
