Two weeks ago, ToughPigs made the difficult decision to hit the pause button on our little website. After months (years, really) of repeated hacking attempts, we called in a specialist (no, not Snake Walker) to help with the situation, and we feel relatively confident that the website is back to normal. Like, at least 85% confident.
The question we’ve been getting more than anything is, “Who would want to hack a Muppet website?” It seems to have nothing to do with our content or our audience – we’ve just been targeted by some evil bots. I dunno, it somehow feels like more of an insult that we weren’t hacked due to our overwhelming popularity.
Despite going dark for two weeks, we’ve still been extra busy behind the scenes. In addition to fixing the website, we’ve also been working on some new podcasts, live events, and more feature articles. Stay tuned for announcements on all of these coming very soon…
Speaking of podcasts, we’ve still been releasing episodes of “70 Years, 70 Muppets” on our regular weekly schedule! So be sure to catch up on the latest podcasts if you haven’t already.
