This has been quite the year for Muppet-related music collectors. Not only have we gotten The Green Album on vinyl, but now Santa’s left us another surprise under the tree: A Green and Red Christmas is also coming to vinyl for the very first time later this year!
There is one small catch: the album will be available exclusively at Target beginning September 26. Preorders are now available on Target’s website, where the red vinyl sells for $27.99. This is a rerelease of the original 2006 version of the album, and the bonus tracks from the 2011 edition will not appear here.
The record also comes with a sheet of pop-out ornaments. Share the terror of Flathead Kermit with someone you love! But if you don’t want to wait until Christmas… I mean, September, you can get a feel for this sometimes (north) polarizing album with a review from our own Ryan Roe!
