Finally, some good news in 2025! It has just been officially announced that Fran Brill will be receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award at this year’s Children’s and Family Emmy Awards. Creating Prairie Dawn should be sufficient enough to earn such an honor, but Brill has a amassed a strong CV with all her roles in TV, film, and stage work in her many years in the business of show. She is very much deserving of this acknowledgement of her career, and she’s joining the ranks of her fellow Sesame friends Caroll Spinney, Joan Ganz Cooney, Sonia Manzano, and even the show itself of becoming Lifetime Achievement winners.
