Watch This: Muppet Performers Reunite for “Judge Boing Boing”

Earlier this week, Muppet fans got a surprise April Fools Day gift. And it was no gag. A handful of talent from the Muppet and Henson worlds came together for something entirely new.

The series in question is Judge Boing Boing, a puppet-filled spoof of courtroom shows like The People’s Court. The 3-episode webseries could’ve felt right at home as a recurring segment on a Muppet series, right down to the unique-yet-familiar puppet designs. But that’s not the only part that gave us a faint whiff of the Muppet brand.

The series was created created and written by Bill Barretta and Frank Oz, with Bill also performing the lead character and Frank serving as director. Getting new puppet videos from Bill is exciting enough, but the real treat was getting Frank back into the world of puppetry. For that alone, we’re extremely grateful for Judge Boing Boing.

In addition to Bill and Frank, the series also features performances by familiar names like Dave Goelz, Kevin Clash, Leslie Carrara-Rudolph, Alice Dinnean, Tim Lagasse, B. Lanoil, Peter Linz, Russ Walko, Grant Baccioco, and Jackson Barretta. And other folks who’ve worked on Muppet projects like Production Designer Darcy Provost, composer Mick Giacchino, Muppets Mayhem Executive Producer Jeff Yorkes, and more.

Okay, that’s more than enough listing of names. Enjoy this non-Muppet puppet project from a bunch of folks from the Muppet world!
