Critics Choose “Life’s a Happy Song”!

Awards season is officially upon us!  And with last night’s Critics Choice Awards, the Muppets have won their first of many.

With four nominations in two categories, The Muppets lost to Bridesmaids for “Best Comedy” (I blame Jon Hamm, that cocky, beautiful bastard), but won for “Best Song”!  Bret McKenzie’s “Life’s a Happy Song” brought home the gold, cementing the fact that life truly is a happy somethingorother.

The Golden Globes are canceled this year, due to lack of Muppetiness, but here’s hoping the Academy Awards do the right thing and put the Muppets on the ballot.
