Okay, so we already knew that Disney was interested in a sequel. Nick Stoller and James Bobin have already started writing the script. Stoller even told us personally that Walter will be back and it will be a standalone story, rather than a continuation. But nothing says “official” better than a pig and frog.
Kermit and Piggy made an appearance today at CinemaCon to say that yes, The Muppets II (working title, I hope) is on its way. And then the Muppets’ official Facebook page posted the above banner.
So there you have it! No more information than we had yesterday, but we can all now sleep easy knowing that the frog is on the case.
