I love to see two great flavors combine into one delicious snack. That’s why I’m so excited to learn that the chocolatey Jim Henson Company is teaming up with the peanut buttery Star Trek franchise.
The current Star Trek series, Strange New Worlds (which has become one of my favorite TV shows in a long while) will be featuring an episode in which the crew of the USS Enterprise will turn into puppets. Those puppets are being provided by none other than the Jim Henson Creature Shop.
The episode will appropriately be directed by Jordan Canning, who may be the only person to direct both Star Trek and Fraggle Rock. (Also, listen to our interview with Jordan Canning!) Seriously, it’s perfect.
There’s no word yet on who the performers will be, who (aside from Captain Pike) will be seen in puppet form, or when the episode will air. So keep an eye on ToughPigs for more info as it’s revealed!
