As many of us are already aware, Elmo’s social media account was recently hacked, and the account posted some incredibly hateful and damaging things. Normally, ToughPigs doesn’t report on these types of stories since they aren’t directly a result of the work Sesame Workshop or the Muppets create. But The Daily Show most definitely does report on them, and they dedicated the first half of the most recent episode to Elmo.
We’ll pass this buck along to Jon Stewart as he talks about the news, while also reminding people about his past connection to the Sesame Street world and an interview with the “real” Elmo. Take a look:
