We are saddened to learn that David Johansen has passed away. Best known as the lead singer of the 1970s proto-punk band The New York Dolls, Johansen also created an alter ego as “Buster Poindexter,” who performed the hit song “Hot Hot Hot.”
In 1989, Johansen (as Poindexter) appeared on The Jim Henson Hour performing the song “All Night Party”. You can revisit that number right here:
