Over the past few months, Muppet fans everywhere have been saying goodbye to the MuppetVision 3D attraction in their own ways. Some made a final pilgrimage to Orlando to see it one last time, others took to social media to create homages, and a few people pulled a Thomas Crown Affair and stole the Miss Piggy fountain, replacing it with a perfect facsimile.
One thing we didn’t see was a final merchandise push so we could walk away with a physical memory of MuppetVision. It’s not a terrible shock, given Disney’s overall lack of Muppet merch, but it would’ve been nice to see one more t-shirt or plush or license plate frame to commemorate the retired attraction.
That’s why we’ve taken it upon ourselves to make a little something that reminds us of MuppetVision 3D (without infringing on any Disney copyright, because please don’t sue us we have no money). Sometimes you just gotta make the merch you want to see in the world.
