It’s that time of year again – to see which television and web progrums for the youth of America are deemed cool enough to win a shiny gold statue of some kind of angel. In the last few years, there’s been some overlap between Sesame, Henson, and Muppet productions in nominations. This year, it’s pretty much all Sesame Street, baby! Here’s what they’re up for:

  • Outstanding Preschool, Children’s or Family Viewing Series
  • Outstanding Short Form Live Action Program – Elmo and Andrew Garfield Explain Grief
  • Outstanding Puppetry Performer – Leslie Carrara-Rudolph, Ryan Dillon, and Carmen Osbahr
    • Fellow Muppet Performers Frankie Cordero and Stephanie D’Abruzzo are also nominated, but for their work on Donkey Hodie.
  • Outstanding Children’s Personality – Yvette Nicole Brown for Cookie Monster’s Bake Sale: Block Party
  • Outstanding Directing for a Live Action Series – for the episode “A Trip to the Moon
  • Outstanding Cinematography and Technical Arts for a Multiple Camera Live Action Program – same thing
  • Outstanding Editing for a Preschool or Children’s Live Action Program – for the episode “Abby Taps Into Kindness
  • Outstanding Sound Mixing and Sound Editing for a Live Action Program – for the episode “Jam Session Jam Up
  • Outstanding Original Song for a Preschool Program – for the song “Music, Music
  • Outstanding Fiction Special – for Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Road Trip (which the Jim Henson Company co-produced, as I’m sure we all remember)

The ceremony will be held in March 2026, so stay tuned to see who wins what and if Elmo might show up! You almost never see that guy!
