As you might have noticed, this year marks the 70th anniversary of the Muppets. Other fans, particularly on the West Coast, might know this year is also the 70th anniversary of Disneyland. And the Disney Company, never one to shy away from some easy corporate synergy, found a way to celebrate both things at once.
The new “World of Color Happiness” water/light show premieres at Disneyland this Friday, but a special sneak peek presentation was held last night, including the new preshow starring the Muppets. The group has been tasked to deliver a musical safety message at the behest of Joe the Legal Weasel, and it turns as chaotic as you’d expect. The Muppets look pretty good presented as images projected on water fountains!
