The Henson Workshop has often been a place of mystery and intrigue, and is not typically open to the public. Last fall, the company held a very special paid tour through their Creature Shop in Long Island City, New York, and it must have gone over well enough that they’re bringing it back!
The Jim Henson Company will now be running a series of weekly tours through the NY workshop, from February 14 to March 7 (and maybe beyond!). The approximately 80-minute tour will take visitors through the workshop, where they’ll see how the puppets are made, witness puppetry demos, and receive other “special surprises.” I bet they’re givin’ out free Hoobs!
Tickets are $150 (not including taxes and fees) and you can purchase your timed ticket via JimHensonExperiences.com. Snag yours whilst you can!
