Get your guitars tuned and saxophones polished, because it’s almost time to rock out with the Muppets on the updated Rock ‘N’ Rollercoaster at Walt Disney World. It’s been months of teasers and hints, but now, Disney has dropped some big, official news!
First up, we have an opening date! Fans will be able to jam with the Electric Mayhem starting May 26! Why, that’s practically tomorrow! Well, it is if you have a bad sense of time or your calendar is set wrong! But still, it’s pretty soon!

Next, we have the track list of the songs you’ll hear on the ride, featuring new covers of some favorite rock songs by the Electric Mayhem and their Muppet collaborators. The full track list includes:
- “Song 2” (Blur)
- “Born to be Wild” (Steppenwolf) feat. Camilla the Chicken
- “Love Rollercoaster” (Ohio Players) feat. Jennifer Hudson & Questlove
- “Rock! Rock! (Till You Drop)” (Def Leppard) feat. Def Leppard
- “Walking on Sunshine” (Katrina and the Waves) feat. Kelly Clarkson
Disney Parks Blog also teased the possibility of bonus tracks. So there’s still hope for “Night Life!”
Muppet Labs is back in the picture with our new method of travel: the Lengthy Immediate Motion Object (L.I.M.O.). It has also been reported that unlike the Aerosmith version of the ride, a single song will play during the entire ride (instead of two songs). Another change from the previous version is that the songs are not tied to specific vehicles and license plates; they will be randomly played regardless of what L.I.M.O. you take. How random!
And it wouldn’t be a Muppet attraction without several celebrity cameos! (As opposed to just Mickey Mouse in the last one.) Here are a few big names you’ll be able to spot from the queue all the way to the gift shop at the end:
- Awkwafina
- Danny Trejo
- Darren Criss
- John Stamos
- Neil Patrick Harris
- Travis Barker
- Yvette Nicole Brown
- Wayne Brady
- “Weird Al” Yankovic

We also got a glimpse of the posters that’ll be lining the queue, which feature some fun nods to the Muppet Pipes at the NBC Studios in New York City and Jimmy Shoe.

In addition to the big news, the Disney Parks accounts also shared some photos of the Electric Mayhem’s performance of “Can You Picture That?” from the end of the ride. I’ve seen numerous comments on social media believing these are audio animatronics, but it was never announced that the band would appear this way, and it’s pretty clear these are the actual puppets.
