Today in hardly-Muppet-related news, we’ve learned that the upcoming Pixar film, Inside Out, will feature cameos by two well-known Muppet performers.
Frank Oz and Dave Goelz have both lent their voices to the film. Frank performs “Subconscious Guard Dave” and Dave performs “Subconscious Guard Frank”. The names are a subtle joke, quite possible meant for people like us who know who these two talented gentlemen are.
Frank, as you may recall, appeared in a previous Pixar film, voicing Fungus in Monsters, Inc. This will be Dave Goelz’s first foray into the world of Pixar, although he has been providing the voice of Figment in the Disney World attraction “Journey into Imagination” since 2002. So he’s no stranger to Disney. (Not that any of the Muppet performers are, but you know what I mean.)\
Inside Out hits theaters on June 19th!
